Your privacy is fundamental to the discretion our Citizens expect. This Policy describes how ECelebs Nation, Inc. collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data worldwide.

1. Who We Are

ECelebs Nation, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“ECelebs Nation”, “we”, “us”), is the data controller for personal data processed through the ECelebs Nation platform (the “Platform”). You can reach our privacy team at privacy@ecelebsnation.com.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under laws including the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended (CCPA/CPRA), Brazil’s LGPD, Canada’s PIPEDA, and India’s DPDP Act.

2. Personal Data We Collect

(a)Account & identity data: name, email address, date of birth, gender, country, account type (Individual or Business), profile types, and primary/secondary industries selected during onboarding.

(b)Verification data: invitation codes, waitlist application details, and identity or credential information you provide for verification or KYC purposes.

(c)Profile & content data: photographs, bio, offers and interests, social links, showcase items, and any Content you publish.

(d)Transaction data: eCredits balances, rewards, transactions, purchases, and Founding Program membership records.

(e)Social graph data: connections, favourites, waves, inner-circle memberships, and privacy/visibility settings.

(f)Communications: messages you send us, support requests, and your notification preferences.

(g)Usage & device data: log data, IP address, device identifiers, browser type, pages viewed, actions taken (analytics events), and approximate location derived from IP.

(h)Cookies & similar technologies: as described in Section 5.

3. Sources of Data

We collect data directly from you (registration, onboarding, profile, forms), automatically from your device (logs, cookies, analytics), and from third parties where you connect social accounts or where a Citizen refers or invites you.

4. Purposes & Legal Bases (GDPR Art. 6)

(a)To provide and operate the Platform, including authentication, onboarding, profiles, collaborations, wallet, and notifications — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).

(b)To verify eligibility and maintain the security and exclusivity of the Platform, including fraud and abuse prevention — legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).

(c)To process payments, credits, and rewards and maintain accounting records — contract and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(b), (c)).

(d)To send service communications and, where permitted, product announcements — legitimate interests or consent (Art. 6(1)(f), (a)).

(e)To analyse usage and improve the Platform — legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)); consent where required for analytics cookies.

(f)To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and defend legal claims — legal obligation and legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(c), (f)).

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use strictly necessary cookies (authentication, security, preferences) and, subject to your consent where required, analytics cookies that help us understand how the Platform is used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling necessary cookies may prevent the Platform from functioning.

6. How We Share Personal Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Service providers (hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, payment processing) bound by data-processing agreements;
  • Other Citizens, according to the visibility and privacy settings you choose;
  • Professional advisers, insurers, and auditors under duties of confidentiality;
  • Authorities or third parties where required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and property;
  • A successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

7. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to countries without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and thereafter only as needed for legitimate business or legal purposes: account and profile data for the life of the account; transaction and financial records for up to 7 years (tax and accounting obligations); support correspondence for up to 3 years; and security logs for up to 12 months. When retention ends, data is deleted or anonymised.

9. Your Rights — EEA, UK & Switzerland (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to:

  • access your personal data and receive a copy;
  • rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • erase your data (“right to be forgotten”), subject to legal exceptions;
  • restrict or object to processing, including profiling;
  • data portability in a structured, machine-readable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing;
  • lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

(a)To exercise any right, email privacy@ecelebsnation.com. We respond within one month (extendable by two further months for complex requests, as permitted by law).

10. Your Rights — California (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know, access, correct, and delete personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. To exercise your rights, email privacy@ecelebsnation.com with the subject “California Privacy Request”. You may use an authorised agent; we may verify your identity before acting.

11. Other Regions

Brazil (LGPD): you have rights of confirmation, access, correction, anonymisation, portability, deletion, and information about sharing; contact privacy@ecelebsnation.com. Canada (PIPEDA): you may request access to and correction of your personal information. India (DPDP Act 2023): you may request access, correction, erasure, and grievance redressal. Residents of other jurisdictions may contact us to exercise rights available under local law.

12. Security

We implement technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, row-level access controls, least-privilege administrative access, audit logging, and screenshot-deterrence features. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected individuals and authorities of personal-data breaches where required by law.

13. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact privacy@ecelebsnation.com and we will delete it.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email before they take effect. The “Last updated” date reflects the most recent revision.
